Care & Maintainance for your ceramic coating

A Graphene Ceramic Coating is NOT an Install and Ignore! It requires regular care and maintenance to keep it working at 100% for you. This includes but is not limited to: Following Safe Washing techniques, Regular Washing, Use of Products That Help Extend the Life of the Coating (Specialty Graphene Maintenance Products) Etc. A Ceramic Coating makes your vehicle less prone to water spotting, higher stain, resistance against bugs, saps, droppings, etc, higher scratch resistance during the washing process, and increased depth and clarity to all surfaces. Use the following techniques and tips to get the most out of your Graphene Ceramic Coating! We can always be contacted for any questions!

Proper washing

Frequent and thorough washing is very important in keeping your Ceramic Coating working for you! Never take your car through a touch/brush Car Wash!!! They are never maintained to a standard where they won't leave scratches on your vehicle, Ceramic Coated or not. It does not matter how new or old the Touch Car Wash is, IT WILL LEAVE SCRATCHES! The only safe washing that can be done is Touchless Car Washes, or a safe hand wash.
A proper hand wash will reduce the chances of wash-induced scratches. A 2-bucket wash system is a great hand wash method, DO NOT use your mop bucket filled with dawn dish soap. The 2-bucket wash method includes 1 dedicated Wash bucket and 1 dedicated Rinse bucket, and both buckets need grit guards. Use a pressure washer if possible as it is the best way to remove lots of debris that could cause scratching.

Vehicle Decontamination

This maintenance tip is not only recommended for Ceramic Coated vehicles, but all vehicles. Your vehicle should receive our Vehicle Decontamination twice a year. This process includes an Iron Remover Treatment and Claying your vehicle. This will remove bonded contaminants that your vehicle collects throughout the year. Bonded Contamination can dull the finish of your vehicle and make your paint feel rough. The Vehicle Decontamination is basically a reset to a clean, smooth surface!

One Step Polish

Your car is not invulnerable to scratches even with a Ceramic Coating, but it will greatly reduce the chances of incurring this damage. To remove those scratches incurred through the span of a year, we recommend a One-Step Paint Polishing. The One-Step Polish is typically enough to remove any scratches that may have happened. For deeper scratches, a Paint Correction step may be needed. We will use Graphene Boost to help bolster your Ceramic Coating once the polishing is done! Can't bring your vehicle to the shop due to having to work?
The Detailing Company offers FREE vehicle pickup and delivery options to Detailing Appointments over $100 (within 10 mile travel from our shop location!)(outside of the 10 miles or under $100 will receive a $0.50 per mile charge).
